​They are made in order to make the public be aware of what they should expect from the film and make them curious to see it. 

HORROR

Horror films are unsettling films designed to frighten and panic, cause dread and alarm, and to invoke our hidden worst fears, often in a terrifying, shocking finale, while captivating and entertaining us at the same time in a cathartic experience.

FAMILY

Family Movies are non-offensive, wholesome, and entertaining films that are specifically designed for children 12 and under (or for family viewing). Children's and family-oriented films may actually be suitable for all age groups, and cover a wide range of genre categories (comedy, adventure, fantasy, musicals, etc.). They often include a child actor/actress  or cartoon that focus on children's-related themes that teach a lesson or moral, or show that good can triumph over evil.

COMEDY

Films are "make 'em laugh" films designed to elicit laughter from the audience. Comedies are light-hearted dramas, crafted to amuse, entertain, and provoke enjoyment. The comedy genre humorously exaggerates the situation, the language, action, and characters.

ADVENTURE

This major genre type includes exciting stories, with new experiences or exotic locales. Adventure films are very similar to the action film genre, in that they are designed to provide an action-filled, energetic experience for the film viewer.

KNOW

Students should know how to shoot video utilizing common video principles, download movies from youtube and convert to mp4, and use proper editing techniques to develop a short video. ​
Students should understand that a well produced video can hold an audience's attention. ​

TASK

Students will choose an audio clip provided and produce a trailer to support the audio. 
​Students should write a treatment, assemble a team, shoot a video, edit a video 
Students will create a DVD Cover and Movie Ticket to advertise their movie coming to theaters.
