CLASS CONTRACT

Being a high school credit course, this class is considered a privilege and taken very seriously. Students will be held responsible for their behavior and work in class. If a student does not perform to all requirements, they will be subjected to be removed from the course. 

CLASS REQUIREMENTS

Students will be required to complete 4 Major Assignments a month in the following categories :
  • JMN Announcements
  • WBMS segments
  • Fun Group Segments
  • Awareness Videos
  • Cultural Celebrations & Awareness
  • Class, Club, and Sport Advertisements
  • Contests

BEHAVIOR

  • Treat all students, teachers, and guest with professionalism, courtesy and respect. 
  • The equipment that students will be handling is expensive and fragile, so it is expected that behavior is cooperative and positive at all times.
  • Please be aware that this class is hands-on and at times students will be entrusted to film in the hallways without immediate adult supervision.  If for any reason, a student is unable to show the appropriate behavior, he/she will lose the privilege of filming outside the classroom. 
  • No phones are permitted during school hours. 
  • Food and drinks are not permitted outside the blue theater seating area.
  • All videos created must adhere to the guidelines of Webb Bridge School Policies. 
  • All projects, assignments, segments must be turned in on time.

3 strike rule

AVFT students are considered high leaders and in a sense the face of representing Webb Bridge. Students will be held to a 3 strike rule. If students break any of the following, they will earn a strike.
​After 3 strikes, the student will be subject to removal from the AVFT class and lose the opportunity to earn a high school credit.

  • MAJOR BEHAVIOR ISSUES RESULTING IN ISS/OSS OUT OF MY CLASS
  • PHONE USE
  • INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR TO OTHER STUDENTS
  • INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR WHILE FILMING UNSUPERVISED IN THE HALLWAYS 
  • FILMING IN AN ALTERNATE LOCATION 
  • 3 WARNINGS OF EQUIPMENT LEFT OUT
  • DISRUPTING ANOTHER TEACHER, STUDENT, OR CLASS IN ORDER TO FILM
  • MISSED SEGMENT / MAJOR ASSIGNMENT


2 STRIKES
  • ISS/OSS IN AVFT
  • RECORDING / POSTING ANYTHING INAPPROPRIATE OR OUTSIDE OF CLASS WORK

3 STRIKES
  • VANDALISM/ THEFT
